Just to remind Dave this is coming...

Landscaping the Driveway and Entrance

The town gave Dave permission to build retaining wall down the driveway and also have a landing with wide steps up to it. He was told by others this was not possible but town came out and said it was fine. It came out great and below a few shots of it.

No he didn't run out of stones to finish left side.
They were extras so placed them there.

Naturall stone steps

You may know this guy

Greeting the trades coming into finish the floor.
I may have not had my pink underwear in my hand when the showed up though

Flatbed came and all stones dropped off

Finally Moving In

Well the day has come where they move for Toronto to home on the lake. Dave has been daily driving up trailer loads which gave him a chance to set up shelving etc. The movers only had to bring up the heavy furniture. The famous orange container has not been delivered as everything we ask for to assist Dave we hear "it's in the orange container". I think he will have it delivered and post a "contents sale on it". Ok below are just a couple of shots of the first day.

A couple of neighbors thought it would be a nice gesture to have
welcome home and congratulations balloons out front when they arrived
Dave came up first and Fran was leading the moving truck later.
Fran called and said did you get groceries for that first nights dinner.
I was standing there when Dave said yes. So being nosey I checked out the fridge
Not sure on the parking signs in Florida but Dave this means none to the left,
none to the right and also in the middle where you parked

Just another day of updates

Cabinets are finished other than counter top in kitchen. Stone 95% done so worth a couple of pics.
Railing color is nice so including a couple of those as well.
Met electrician on site just now and he said great your here. It seems Glenn wanted the bulbs changed in the 6 pot lights for music room. So electrician put one in while I was there with Larry and Deb. I hated the new ones, as Larry and Deb did as well. They are NOT LED so you may have to change and you would need to rent a ladder to get way up there. I text Glenn to say what I did. I really like the ones you had there. Pics below showing what I mean.

Looking good
Same color as stone in fireplace
View when doing dishes
From in front of fireplace
Railings stained
Very nice and deb love's the counter top.
I may have bought hardware as a bitch to open

Cabinets and stone appearance

Kitchen cabinets arrived and are being installed as well the main bathroom vanity. Had to take a couple more shots of the stone work as looking great and I think maybe 3 more days and then done. Electrician there and he has installed really nice fluoresent lights in garage + switches and plugs. Wiring for walkway light on wall waiting for grading and conduit.

Just need the sills to be placed for front to be complete
Working on garage side now
I may have spent the money and bought doors and drawers
in the main bathroom

Still working on it and the island has yet to be position properly
See they are still working

The stone work has started

Weather has improved to allow the mason to start the stonework. Some done yesterday until the storm came through. I am sure they will appreciate the mud on site. Just walked over this am and took some shots from dry Larry's side. I know multiple shots of the same but wanted to show Dave & Fran the formation of the stone as well as the mortar choice.
